About
Desi Hoppers, a Hip-Hop dance crew of 7 dancers from Mumbai, created history by being the first Indian dance team to not just represent the country but also win the World of Dance championship, 2015 in Los Angeles.
The crew was founded by Palki Malhotra, Shantanu Maheshwari, Macedon D'Mello & Nimit Kotian in 2015 through India-wide auditions, for the TV dance series Bindass Naach on Bindass channel.
Following their victory, the crew was invited to give special performances on America's Got Talent & popular Chinese show, Day Day Up.
They were featured in special promotional videos for World of Dance (WOD) by NBC in 2016, and they were also invited to perform as guest performers at the WOD finals in Los Angeles in 2017.
Desi Hoppers received the ‘Crowd Favorite Trophy’ at WOD, which has been uniting the dance community from the United States, Europe, South America, Asia, and Canada since 2008.
In 2017, Desi Hoppers participated in the Asian Battleground - a cross-national dance competition held in Malaysia and ended at the third place.
Desi Hoppers were invited to perform at the highly popular YouTube Fanfest 2018 Brandcast in Mumbai, as well as India's Biggest Hip-hop Dance Festival Breezer Vivid Shuffle, where they served on the International Judging jury alongside Jaja Vankova for the crew showcase competition.
Desi Hoppers have been praised by mega celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Ne-Yo, Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, and others for their unique style and fusion of hip-hop with Indian culture, demonstrating their passion and love for dance.
